Check Out Answers Cancer's Virtual Support Groups

Answer Cancer (AnCan) now holds NINE (9) VIRTUAL peer-led prostate cancer support groups monthly! These are (all times Eastern):

  • 4 High Risk/Recurrent/Advanced  1st & 3rd Mondays @ 8pm; 2nd & 4th Tuesdays @ 6 pm

  • 2 Low Risk/Intermediate  2nd & 4th Mondays @ 8 pm

  • 2 Active Surveillance  1st & 3rd Wednesdays @ 8 pm

  • 1  Under-60's Advanced 2nd Thursday @ 7 pm

More information is available here: https://ancan.org/prostate-cancer/.

All the prostate cancer groups are co-sponsored by UsTOO and are held in the same virtual room https://www.gotomeet.me/AnswerCancer. We encourage participants to join using a computer, although they can use their phone. The experience with a computer is better.

AnCan also runs a men-only, pan-cancer Speaking Freely group to discuss all issues around—but not—treatment; and a couple of pan-cancer caregiver calls. Altogether AnCan hosts 20+ peer-led virtual support groups per month and is about to announce two new meetings for Blood Cancers and Ovarian cancer. They offer non-cancer groups too.

This is a very good alternative to leaving your house and a great experience!
