Mark A. Moyad, MD, MPH

“Dr. Moyad is arguably the world’s leading medical expert on dietary supplements, but he’s not quick to recommend them to everyone.” (from the Editors of Prevention Magazine 2013).

Mark A. Moyad, MD, MPH, currently occupies an endowed position created and funded entirely by the patients he has helped over the past 20+ years. He is the Jenkins/Pokempner Director of Preventative and Alternative Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center-Department of Urology. Dr. Moyad received his medical education from the University of South Florida College of Public Health and the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is the primary author of over 150 published medical journal articles. Mark is the co-author or author of 12 books including his most recent Amazon bestseller “The Supplement Handbook: A Trusted Expert’s Guide to What Works & What’s Worthless for more than 100 conditions.” (512-pages, Rodale Publishing New York). He is a consultant for most major magazines, websites and television shows devoted to health in the U.S. and appears regularly on a variety of network news/programs. Dr. Moyad also loves triathlons, movies, sushi, vacuuming, his wife Mia and kids, Michigan Football, Basketball & Softball only when they are winning, and their dog “Chauncey”, but of course not in that specific order. His bio and introduction could have been much longer (several pages), but then it would have given the audience the perception that he is simply narcissistic and in desperate and constant need of admiration, attention, and love.

PS. He is also the moderator (for PCRI) of the largest patient conference in the world but hopes to relinquish this position one day soon in order to pursue his real passion and calling in life-being a part-time ESPN Sportscaster and a full-time international male model while simultaneously being furthered lionized by millions of fans with and without a prostate by becoming a world renowned bodybuilding champion (aka the next "Mr Olympia").
