Liver and Lung Mets | Advanced Prostate Cancer | Mark Scholz MD | Alex Scholz | PCRI

Medical Oncologist Mark Scholz, MD, discusses the staging and treatment of metastatic prostate cancer that has spread to an organ such as the liver or lungs. These situations are rare and are most commonly seen in patients with rare, high-risk prostate cancer who have been on treatments for several years, but can also be present in men with newly diagnosed metastatic prostate cancer. While organ metastases do signify one of the most dangerous stages of prostate cancer, it is important to remember that many patients in this situation have still been able to achieve disease control or even remission.
